Daily schedule
Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both group activities and independent child choice activities.
Morning circle:
8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day.
Child choice time:
A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as educator-facilitated activities. At Imaginations, we start our day by acknowledging the Country and sing song such as “Inanay”
Morning tea time
9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Children begin their morning tea time with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. A variety of healthy options are offered to the children includes fresh fruits and snacks.
Class time
9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Children will be grouped in their corresponding classes. They will participate in activities setup by the educator to encourage learning and development. These activities can take place in class or our outdoor area.
Pack Up time:
The children will participate in packing up the toys and getting ready for lunch.
Lunch time:
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Hot healthy food will be served to our children during lunch time. Children will participate in serving and clean-up.
Quiet time:
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
A short rest time for the younger children while listening to quiet music. As for our older children, they will participate in preschool-school readiness program lead by our experienced early childhood teacher.
Afternoon group time:
1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Group time is an opportunity for the whole class to get together in one area. Activities at this meeting include show and tell, music and movement, class discussions and group games. Most importantly this is a time for children to share information with others, practice listening and waiting skills, and participate in a large group.
Afternoon tea time:
Children will enjoy their afternoon tea time with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. A variety of healthy options are offered to the children includes fresh vegetables and fruit along with pastry items.
Physical activity:
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Indoor activity and pick up time:
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Children will move indoor to participate in activities and learning program according to their age group. At the end of the day, children will gather their personal items, and wait at the front door for dismissal and pick up.
